WEEK 2

SHARK

During the lecture in class, we saw how to animate an object following a path. We also learnt how to deform and animate it. Finally, by setting up a moving camera, we saw how to render the sequences using the point of view of the chosen camera.

At the end of the lesson, we saw how to model the object giving it more detail and more realism.

The homework assignment was to complete the shark and improve it. I worked on the sand to give it a more realistic effect, then modelled the shark and created a texture to paint it.

PENDULUM

In this lecture, we looked at how a pendulum moves. The overlapping of actions gives the animation a natural feel. The principles behind overlapping actions are crucial if you want your characters to move believably and appear to live on earth with the gravity, weight and mechanics of the real world.
